This drawstring bag is great for holding small items like money and make-up. It is also great for using as a gift bag. The crochet pattern is available here for free. There is also a printable version available.

Worsted weight yarn - I recommend Caron Simply Soft

st - stitch
sl st - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet

Chain 26
Round 1 – sc in 3rd ch from hook, sc in each st across, working in opposite side of chain sc in each st across, sl st in 1st sc, turn. (50 sts)
Round 2-30 – ch 1, sc in same st, sc in each st around, sl st in 1st sc. (50 sts)

Round 31 – ch 5, * skip 2 sts, hdc in next st, ch 2 *, repeat * around, sl st in 3rd ch of ch 5. (50 sts)
Round 32 – ch 1, sc in same st, * 2 sc in ch space, sc in next st *, repeat * around, 2 sc in ch space, sl st in 1st sc. (50 sts)
Round 33-35 – repeat round 2.
Drawstrings: Make 2
Chain 90. Finish off. Weave in ends.
Weave drawstring through ch spaces in round 31. Tie ends together. Weave second drawstring in opposite direction, Tie ends together.
You can do a lot with this pattern. Use different yarn and hooks to make it bigger or smaller or use 2 colors for a different look. You could also add an embellishment to the bag as well.
